Wine on the River
The word "wine" in Wine on the River is a pretty broad term. It's actually Liquor on the River but that doesn't roll off the tongue very well. Wine on the River has been going on for 11 years and proceeds benefit Hands on Nashville. This our forth year attending and its one of our favorite events in Nashville. It's held in September on the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and amazingly enough, it's always great weather (knock on wood).
There are lots of friendly people serving wine at all the stations, each one representing a different country or state.
This wine was meant to be served over ice with lime. Perfect for a sunny day walking up and down a bridge.
After a while you've got to grab a bite.
Pizza is always a good choice when you're boozing.
Fancier things were on offer, though.
Being Music City there had to be a little country.
A little Classical.
And a little Jazz.
Which caused a lot of dancing.
But it also may have to do with everything else that was on offer.
Oh lawd!
I was doing well until Belarus. See these friendly faces?
Charming ladies but after drinking that purple concoction things started getting fuzzy.
The best part about Wine on the River are the people. Even if you don't go with friends, you 'll have some by the time you leave.
These ladies are pros!
Another beautiful day on the Cumberland!
Next, hangover cures.
