Pastaria, West End

I don't often get to the West End to eat but Mr. Ville and I needed to make a Costco run and Pastaria was on the way and who doesn't want pizza for breakfast?!

I'm trying to keep summer alive by drinking all the Aperol Spritz!

I've eaten kale salads all over town and this one I would put in the top five. Tender and not overdressed. Kale always makes me feel better about the rest of the things I eat. 

I've had a so-so view of pizza lately. Nothing has blown my mind. The crust at Pastaria (and let’s face it, pizza is all about the crust) was perfectly crunchy and chewy and one that I would heartily recommend! This one made me very happy!

I ordered the Breakfast Pizza and Mr. Ville ordered the Hawaiian. We have been married 33 years and he has never even been interested in a Hawaiian pizza.

He loved it and polished off the whole thing!

When I looked at the reviews of Pastaria, the biggest complaint was burned crust. It sounds like there is a hot spot in the oven and it gets burned on the bottom. All I can say is, if that happens, send it back. This pizza is actually worth the risk!

After our brunch, I’ll happily pay for an Uber to Pastaria for dinner! I’ll be back with a report. I’m looking forward to it!
