Prima, The Gulch
I'm continuing to find my way out of my dining rut. I've been uninspired and now spoiled for choice. It's finally getting walking weather, and Mr. Ville and I had a stroll over to The Gulch for dinner.
We got to check out the new construction.
And some old landmarks.
Prima is located in the ground floor of the Terrazzo.
Prima's interior is very sophisticated and doesn't feel like Nashville. It's perfect for a date.
The New Old Fashioned - belle meade bourbon, black walnut liqueur, orange peel
The Daily Zen - cucumber infused tequila, combier pamplemousse, fresh squeezed lemon, agave, fresh squeezed grapefruit (my favorite!)
We never miss an octopus opportunity! Octopus a la plancha - cauliflower, blood oranges, olives, crispy capers, parsley
The salad looks small but we split it. We had to pace ourselves!
Torn siberian kale - apples, cardamom salami, hazelnuts, mimi's blue, honey sherry vinaigrette
Mr. Ville went for the fish.
I had made a prior visit and had the duck the first time. My dining partner raved about the filet so I had to get it this trip and she was right. Melted like butter!
Butter roasted filet mignon - yukon gold potato puree, roasted trumpet mushrooms, parmesan, au jus
Prima is a place for you to sit back and really enjoy a meal. We didn't feel rushed and the service was stellar.
We paced ourselves so well, we had room for coffee and dessert.
Tres leches
Good thing we could walk it off on our way home.
Beautiful night, beautiful dinner!
